Police investigate assault on man in Thornton Heath
Police are investigating an assault which took place in Thornton Heath this afternoon.
The incident happened just after 2pm on London Road, close to Thornton Heath pond.
Police and London Ambulance were called to the scene, where they found a 45-year-old man suffering head injuries.
He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
No arrests have been made, but enquiries continue.
