A cash-strapped library has asked for a Christmas present from its users.
The Friends of Donald Hope Library have appealed for readers to lend it decorations to give the Colliers Wood building a festive feel.
The users' group have asked for donations to be brought to the High Street library by Thursday December 1 at the latest.
They have also invited readers to help them put up the tinsel, wreaths and mistletoe on Saturday December 3.
A message on the group's website said: "If you’ve got some spare Christmas decorations at your home or office that you’re not going to use this year, we’d love to borrow them."
