A man was left with serious head injuries after he was attacked outside a pub in Sutton.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack outside The Gander Inn, St Dunstan’s Hill at about 8pm on Saturday, November 26.
The 50-year-old went outside the main doors of the pub for a cigarette when he was joined by another man who attacked him.
The victim, who lives in Sutton, suffered serious head injuries and was taken by London Ambulance Service to hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
Detective Constable Paul Williams, of Sutton CID, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw the altercation outside the premises. I also want to hear from anyone who was in The Gander Inn or was walking or driving by on the A217 at around this time.”
