A talk on the army's involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq will take place tomorrow evening.
Brigadier Matthew Lowe MBE, deputy commander of Headquarters London, the main headquarters for all army regular and Territotial Army (TA) units in the capital, will be hosting the community engagement event at Princess Royal House TA Centre, Stonecot Hill.
During the evening a dynamic multimedia presentation will be given, updating the audience on the progress being made in Afghanistan and Iraq, the various roles the Army provides such as humanitarian aid, disaster relief, fighting and protecting UK citizens at home and abroad.
The event is intended to gain public support for the army, and foster beneficial links with the Sutton community in terms of education, health and business.
It will be held at Princess Royal House TA Centre, Stonecot Hill, on December 1 from 6.30pm to 9pm.
