Schools in the borough will be closed tomorrow due to staff striking over a national pensions row.

A total of 39 schools in Wandsworth will be closing, whilst 41 will remain open or partially open.

Parents should receive a text message or email today informing them of what is happening at their children's school.

They will also be notified by text if there are any last minute changes.

Councillor Kathy Tracey, cabinet member for education and children’s services said: “It is regrettable to see schools forced to close as a result of this industrial action.

“I urge anyone in any doubt about whether their child’s school is open to check online, where you will also be able to find up-to-date information about other services affected by the strike.”
