Hot on the heels from his success on Come Dine with Me, a former Michael Jackson impersonator has released a charity single.

Viewers saw Keith Preddie come last on the popular Channel 4 cooking show two weeks ago, but the 45-year-old has become famous for his repeated use of the word 'Sharmone.'

The childcare practitioner of Clifton Road, Cousldon, has released the single under his stage name 'King Pred,' to raise money for Cruse Bereavement Care.

The charity is particularly close to his heart after they helped him come to terms with the death of his nephew Lewis, who committed suicide last year.

Mr Preddie said: "It doesn't matter how strong you are as a person, when you lose a loved one it can really, really hurt you and you don't know where to turn.

"They came around at the very right time and even though I am a strong person, they have helped me throughout the last nine months.

"It is a fantastic charity and if I can raise some more money for them that would be great."

'Sharmone' was written by Keith and his 12-year-old son Ryan, and was produced by Ministry of Sound DJ Danny Hobden.

It was recorded at the Rockhopper studios in North Buckinghamshire, and combines funky beats with catchy Michael Jackson style lyrics, which even make reference to his time on Come Dine with Me.

Mr Preddie added: "Sharmone can mean anything, it can be when you are sad, when you are happy or if you bang your finger with a hammer, instead of swearing you can say Sharmone."

'Sharmone' is available for digital download from ITunes, Amazon and the official Sharmone website. To view the song's official video visit www.sharmone.co.uk
