Rubbish collection in Sutton has been severely disrupted by today's public sector strike action.
A mass walkout from refuse collection staff has meant no recycling, garden or commercial waste will be collected in the borough today.
Sutton Council has said a limited brown bin collection will take place in Worcester Park and Cheam.
A council spokesman said collections on subsequent days would also be affected as staff worked to catch up on the collection backlog.
Staff will be working on Saturday to get through any backlog, and it is hoped all uncollected rubbish not collected on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will be removed by the end of Saturday.
