Ebooks are proving a hit in the borough.
Over 500 people have logged on to use the ebooks service at Sutton libraries.
The ebooks service sees people download popular titles to their Kobo reader.
Sutton Council was even quoted in a national newspaper this week for its expertise on the matter.
Councillor Graham Tope, Executive Member for Community Safety, Leisure and Libraries on Sutton Council, said: “The eLibrary is a big hit in Sutton, with over 1,500 books borrowed so far.
At a time when many local authorities are closing their libraries, we’re choosing to invest in ours with innovative new services, like the eLibrary, that residents really want to see.
“By making it possible for people to access books from home, on the move and outside normal opening hours, the eLibrary has made Sutton’s libraries easier for people from all areas of the community to use.”
