British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after a multiple sclerosis sufferer was attacked on a Clapham Junction-bound train.

They would like to speak to the woman in the photograph about the incident which took place around 8.10pm on Wednesday, July 20.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman, was assaulted by another woman with a pram as she was about to board a train at Shepherds Bush.

During the journey to Clapham Junction the victim was subjected to threats of violence and racial abuse by the woman with the pram.

On arrival at Clapham Junction the woman struck the victim across the face, causing her to fall to the floor and needing treatment from paramedics.

PC Phil Osafo, the investigating officer, said: “This was a vicious and unacceptable attack on a vulnerable woman and we are determined to catch the person responsible.

“The CCTV image very good and I am certain someone will recognise her. If you think you know the woman, or have any information that could assist our investigation, we want to hear from you.”
