Lewis Price: The Welshman controlled his box brilliantly and caught everything that came his way in the air. He had only had one big save to make and did it well to deny Morrison in the second half with his boot. Also did enough to put Valencia off when he was through on goal. 9

Nathaniel Clyne: It's a struggle to remember Manchester United beating the right back at all down his side and he gave a willing outlet on the wing as well. He wasn't afraid to make his usual marauding runs and dealt with his illustrious opponents with aplomb. 9

Patrick McCarthy: Many players would have crumbled after conceding a penalty minutes after your side had taken the lead against Manchester United but not the Eagles captain. He was a man mountain at the back and was not going to be beaten. His block from Ji-sung Park Sung-Park in the dying moments was perfectly timed. 9

Anthony Gardner: As ever, he looked completely unruffled by where he was and who he was facing, comfortably dealing with Berbatov in the first half and Macheda thereafter. One slip up let Valencia in but he put his head where it hurts to block a Gibson pile driver in the last minute. 9

Dean Moxey: Such a shame to see him go off at half time with a knee injury. He had been troubled a bit by Valencia but was coping admirably before falling awkwardly. 8

David Wright: What a performance. Palace's midfield enforcer was at the heart of all things good and was in complete control of the midfield, marshalling O'Keefe and Dikgacoi and doing exactly what he was supposed to do. The trio formed an impenetrable wall that United could not break down. Man of the match. 10

Stuart O'Keefe: Rewarded for his starring role in previous rounds, O'Keefe made a strong case for a run in the first team with an impeccable performance. He snapped at United's heels throughout and never let them settle. Played his part in some intricate one touch midfield passing moves too. 10

Kagisho Dikgacoi: A much improved performance from the South African who was disciplined and tough in the tackle, not afraid to rub shoulders with United and barge them off the ball. 9

Sean Scannell: Was giving United a few things to think about down the left before a hamstring injury forced him off, much to his obvious disappointment. 8

Wilfried Zaha: He lived up to all the hype on the big stage and was given license to show off his obvious talent and box of tricks. Terrorised Fabio da Silva before the Brazilian went off injured and was a thorn in United's side all night. In extra time, he looked dead on his feet one moment and the next was surging full-pelt at the United defence again. Superb performance. 10

Jermaine Easter: Was given a thankless task of being up front on his own and in truth he never really made an impression on the game but was up against a class act in Chris Smalling. 8

Subs: Jonathan Parr (Scannell, 45): His best performance for a while. He was solid at left-back and bombed forward with pace on plenty of occasions, putting a couple of very dangerous crosses into the box. An able deputy if Moxey is ruled out for a while. 9

Darren Ambrose (Moxey, 46): He's scored some blinders in his time at Palace but his 35-yeard screamer might just top them all. His free-kick for Murray's goal was inch perfect and his work ethic was fantastic. 9

Glenn Murray (Easter, 74): His introduction made a massive difference as he gave Smalling and Evans a lot more to think about with his running and hold-up play. Showed great awareness with the goal and was tracking back and making tackles late in extra time. 10
