A Streatham tennis player experienced a once in a lifetime chance to be coached by four of the sports legends.

Loraine Pereira took part in a tennis masterclass led by former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic, who was in London to compete in the AEGON Masters at the Royal Albert Hall.

The tennis masterclass was provided by AEGON, as part of its efforts to get lapsed players to return to tennis, or to encourage those who are playing to play more.

Assisting Ivanisevic in the coaching duties was former French Open doubles champion Henri Leconte, five-times single ATP Tour winner Younes El Ayanoui and 1986 French open finalist Mikael Pernfors.

Loraine said she learnt a lot from her famous coaches: "The masterclass was the most amazing experience I have ever had, I loved it. I learnt a lot from the masters and it was fantastic to meet Goran.

"I've been playing the sport since I was around 11-years-old, but I stopped when I went to University. A few years ago I picked up a racket again and joined a local club which I love."

Head of sponsorship at AEGON UK, Ian Murray, said: "It's fantastic to be able to offer tennis enthusiasts like Loraine the opportunity to take part in a masterclass from legends of the game like Goran Ivanisevic.

"It has been a unique experience for all those taking part, whether they are keen to start playing tennis again, or simply want to play more."
