A walk in the park has managed to raise awareness and £1,900 for charity.

The walk was carried out in memory of Worcester Park baby Max Boyle, who died four years ago from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

EB is a rare genetic condition in which the skin and internal body linings blister at the slightest knock or rub, causing painful open wounds.

DebRA Volunteer from Carhsalton, Louise Shepherd, 42, was one of those organising Sunday’s event.

She said: “The event was lovely, we had wine, mince pies, lots of candlelight; it was really beautiful. When we put the snow machine on the kids went bananas.

“We probably had around 150 people there; it was a fantastic event- people have been so good - it really helps to spread awareness of EB and the word of DebRA."

DebRA is the national charity which works on behalf of those with EB. For more information visit debra.org.uk.
