Police are appealing for witnessess after an elderly woman went missing.

The 86-year-old woman has gone missing from Sandy Lane in Cheam. Relatives last heard from Elizabeth Ball at 9pm last night.

When Mrs Ball's sister went to her house this morning, the house was locked but her dogs had not been fed.

Detective Sergeant Lena McCreadie, of Sutton CID, said it is not known exactly when Elizabeth left her address. “Elizabeth does get confused and we are very concerned for her well being and safety. She has no money and no phone with her.”

Police say Elizabeth is known to walk her dogs most days in Nonsuch Park. Elizabeth is described as white, small build, 5ft 2in tall with short greying hair. She may be wearing a burgundy red sleeveless jacket and dark trousers. If you see Elizabeth, please contact Sutton Police Station immediately on 999.
