Drivers are being warned to take extra care amid widespread ice on roads in Surrey and south London.
Forecasters are warning of possible sleet in the region today, although there is not expected to be a repeat of the snow of Saturday evening.
A Met Office forecaster said Monday could see rain and sleet showers.
"Overcast with widespread mist and low cloud, plus patchy fog, along with outbreaks of rain or sleet," he said.
"This leads to an early risk of icy stretches on untreated surfaces. Becoming dry this afternoon, while remaining predominantly dull. Maximum temperature 3C."
Tonight would remain dry with large amounts of mist and low cloud, along with patchy fog, he said.
A sharp frost could happen though as temperatures drop to around -3C in some areas.
On Tuesday though, he said conditions could improve.
"Many places will have a much brighter day, but despite the sunny periods temperatures will only rise a few degrees above freezing," said the forecaster.
"Staying colder where mist and low cloud lingers. Maximum temperature 3C."
