Snow could hit south London and Surrey this afternoon, forecasters have warned.
The Met Office says snow flurries could arrive in the south east this afternoon as temperatures struggle to top 1C.
A forecaster said: "A cloudy day but it will be mostly dry until later this afternoon when a few light snow flurries are possible.
"Light winds but still feeling cold."
However, he warned the snow could continue overnight, hitting Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire hardest.
"A sharp frost forming in eastern parts where skies clear," he warned.
Temperatures could drop as low as -5C.
The forecaster did say snowfall would clear tomorrow morning, leaving a dry day with some bright or sunny spells.
However, a winter breeze would mean it felt colder than previous days, with temperatures reaching just 2C.
