A pub is bringing their version of the Premier League to Sutton in order to raise money for St Raphael’s hospice.
As part of the Give Your Quid campaign, the Cock and Bull in Sutton High Street is going to hold a table football night.
You are allowed two members to a team and each player will be charged £5 to enter. All of the funds will go to St Raphael’s.
The staff are encouraging competition and they will have a fully kitted-out referee on site keeping an eye on all the matches.
Fullers Brewery and local businesses have also helped out by donating prizes for a raffle on the night.
The general manager, Erin McCarthy, 25, from Sutton said: "I am really excited to be holding this event for St Raphael’s hospice. I had a great idea for a charity event and really just needed a local charity that needed our help; St Raphael’s was perfect.
"Hopefully we can raise a nice sum of money for the charity as well as getting some more local awareness."
Another business getting behind the Hospice in its anniversary year is the Ivory Lounge in Sutton High Street which will hold a casino night on Friday, April 27 from 8pm.
Geoff Hill, community fundraiser at St Raphael's Hospice said: "We are really excited about the table football event at the Cock and Bull and grateful to Erin for her support in helping to raise much needed funds for St Raphael’s Hospice.
"Mark at the Ivory Lounge has also been supporting us for over a year and the Casino Royale night should be a great evening."
The Harrow Pub in Cheam, Pollards Hill Residents Association, Croygas Sports Wallington and Atlantis Swim shop in Cheam have also pledged their support for the campaign.
The Sutton and Wimbledon Guardian’s have adopted St Raphael’s Hospice as part of their charity of year and in celebration of their 25th anniversary.
St Anthony’s hospital has agreed to match whatever is raised up to £111, 100 and so far £1,500 has been raised.
