A fine and dry day is in store for south London and Surrey.
Forecasters predict temperatures will rise to the 17C mark as sunshine burns off any early morning fog and mist.
A Met Office forecaster said: "A fine and dry day, with sunny periods, these becoming more prolonged during the afternoon.
"Feeling fairly warm, especially in the sunshine, with light winds."
The evening too would remain dry and clear, he said, though becoming cloudier.
Light winds would see temperatures drop to a minimum of 4C.
On Thursday, after the usual misty start, things would take a turn for the better with the sun once again bursting through.
The forecaster added: "Misty to start, especially in the east. Becoming clearer through the morning away from the Kent coast, leading to a dry day with some good sunny spells.
"Feeling fairly warm. Maximum temperature 18C."
