The owner of a dog that allegedly savaged an elderly woman’s pet in a park has appeared in court.
Dominique Daly, of Orchid Close, Chessington, was charged with four counts of failing to control his dog following two alleged incidents in Sir Francis Barker Recreation Ground on October 13 and in Nigel Fisher Way on October 26.
Mr Daly, distinctive with a mohican haircut showing off a large tattoo on the back of his head, was bailed at South Western Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 27.
The 46-year-old, who did not enter a plea, must now go back to court on May 8 to be committed for jury trial to be heard at Crown Court.
Mr Daly’s cross breed terrier, which has since been seized by police, was alleged to have attacked 63-year-old Anne Loring’s King Charles spaniel, on one occasion allegedly taking a chunk out of the animal’s back.
