A single thought pretty much crossed the entire commentary team as Wimbledon eventually frolicked like a lamb in the early spring sunshine at the 'Meadow on Saturday.
As visitors Burton succumbed to a heavy 4-0 scoreline, while it was only a one goal lead the Brewers bared resemblance to the Dons just a matter of weeks ago - posing a threat but just lacking mentally and in the final part of their game to seriously trouble the hosts.
In total contrast this looked a different Wimbledon that was brimming with renewed confidence at a key time in the season - more winning pretty, than "win ugly" as was required before by the gaffer.
In shorts and t-shirt weather, Terry Brown was understandably still adding a "ne'er cast a clout till May be out" note of caution though, as his side edged closer to confirming another season in League Two.
There are plenty of positives to take into this season's last trip "oop Narth" to Accrington for the live commentary this Saturday.
The defence, marshalled superbly by current captain Gareth Gwillim, registered a first home clean sheet in the league this season and three successive home victories are a sign of perhaps becoming a fortress again.
George Moncur teed up Luke Moore's opener and the MOTM loanee midfielder notched his first senior goal in football for the second with around quarter of an hour remaining.
Most significantly the third goal in injury time came from record signing Byron Harrison. No matter how they end up in the back of the net, hopefully it's the start of great things from the former Stevenage target man in opening his Dons league account.
There was also a warm welcome back to six members of the victorious 1963 FA Amateur Cup winning side.
Fraser Franks is the latest Wimbledon player to join Lee Minshull and Max Porter currently on loan at Newport County.
Along with former Wombles Ismail Yakubu, Romone Rose and Elliott Buchanan they form part of an Exiles squad that will be focused on more Wembley glory in this seasons FA Trophy Final against York, 49 years on in May.
