A motorcyclist who crashed into a young girl crossing the road in Chessington and broke her collarbone has been charged with careless driving.
Jessica Yates, six, was hit at the junction of Leatherhead Road and Merritt Gardens on September 21 last year, on the way to Lovelace Primary School.
The accident prompted her mother, Sarah Yates, 36, to call for a safer crossing.
Amy Hale, 18, from Enfield, was due to appear before Richmond Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with driving without due care and attention on her Honda CBR125 causing a young child injury.
