Sunny spells could turn to thundery showers today, forecasters have warned.
After a wet end to the bank holiday weekend, south London and Surrey can expect more showers as the return to work continues on Tuesday.
A Met Office forecaster said: "Sunny spells, but some showers developing, perhaps heavy and thundery.
"A dry and sunny start for most but some sharp showers developing by the afternoon, perhaps heavy and thundery with hail possible.
"Breezy at times but quite pleasant in sunshine."
The maximum temperature would be around 13C, he added.
Tonight will see showers dying out, with clear spells bringing temperatures as low as 1C.
And residents could expect much of the same tomorrow, the forecaster warned.
"A bright and mostly dry start with some sunshine, but showers developing during the morning and some becoming heavy and thundery at times, with hail possible," he said.
Temperatures would rise to 14C.
