What is the Wandle Valley Regional Park?
The park boundaries stretches along the river Wandle from Battersea and Putney by the river Thames, down through Wandsworth, and Merton, to Sutton and Croydon, where it currently ends near Purley.
With a vision on improving the environment of the Wandle and the areas around it, Sutton, Croydon, Merton and Wandsworth Councils have formed come together with the joint vision to provide an innovative, sustainable and high quality Regional Park in the Wandle Valley.
The vision behind the park are for it to be easily accessible, with a rich and thriving biodiversity, offering recreational, landscape, and heritage improvements.
