The man accused of killing teenage model Sally Anne Bowman will stand trial in March next year, it was confirmed at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
Mark Dixie, 35, made his second court appearance via video link from Belmarsh prison, north London, after being charged with Sally Anne's murder in July.
Dressed in a white t-shirt, he looked straight ahead, speaking only to answer "yes" when asked his name and whether he could hear what was being said to him.
Also at the Old Bailey were the teenager's mother, Linda, and Sally Anne's boyfriend Lewis Sproston, the last person to see her before she was attacked.
Sally Anne's family were not allowed in the court room but the model's friends packed out the public gallery.
Mr Dixie is now set to reappear at the Old Bailey on December 15 for a plea and case management hearing.
A three week trial is set to start on March 12, 2007.
