A Croydon school pupil has seen off competition from more than 5,000 other hopefuls to win a national design competition.
Nine-year-old Nadia Stradis was one of 11 winners of a competition to design a badge for the 2007 Walk on Wednesday campaign.
The Broadmead Junior School pupil was picked for her ladybird design badge which will be handed out to all those taking part in a Walk on Wednesday event next April.
The Walk on Wednesday campaign encourages pupils and parents to walk to school in an effort to raise health and environmental issues.
Councillor Maria Gatland, cabinet member for education, youth and lifelong learning, said: "It's good to see that the work of a local pupil will be represented on a national level as well as helping promote a worthwhile cause."
