Hampton & Richmond recorded their first win for more than a month with Lawrence Yaku grabbing the winner in a shock 1-0 win at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
Alan Devonshire's men have become a bogey side to the Dons, beating them on each of their three meetings in the past 12 months.
In front of 2,529, Dons' biggest crowd of the season, the hosts had looked menacing in the first half with Darren Grieves glancing a header wide.
At the other end Barrie Matthews, Marcello Fernandes and Matt Elverson forced good saves out of Dons keeper Andy Little.
Hampton took control in the second-half, with Graham Harper and Matthews hitting the post.
In the 70th minute, Ryan Lake's free-kick caused panic in the home defence and Little fumbled the ball to Yaku, who scored from a yard.
Dons attacked strongly for an equaliser, but were denied by keeper Matt Lovett and his defence.
Hampton followed that up with a 1-1 draw against Brentford in a hastily-arranged friendly on Monday.
Devonshire used the match, played in front of a crowd of around 300, to give debuts to new signings Marvin Bartley, 20, a midfielder/forward from Hayes and Elliott Frost, 18, who has been signed from Watford's academy.
Gavin Tomlin gave Brentford a 75th-minute lead, but Glen Harris equalised for Hampton with eight minutes left.
Hampton's next game is at Heybridge Swifts on Tuesday.
