I am writing regarding the article about mini-motos (Laws set to crush mini-motorbike use, September 21) There is a track in Croydon that allows mini-motos to use their circuit three times a week, which gets no support from local government or the police.
This is quite a popular sport but it is being stamped out by television companies and papers like the Wimbledon Guardian who only print the bad news. It costs lots to advertise in your paper to promote the track events, but you print big headlines killing the sport. The track has even offered free use of the circuits to residents if the Government can contribute, but there has been no reply to the request.
This type of sport gets no support from anyone, unlike football which gets hand outs every where you look and has pitches all over the place taking up park land which is supposed to be for everyone. It's about time someone did something for the kids who don't like ball sports.
