A picture exhibition which celebrates some of the borough's most beautiful green spaces is now on show in Croydon town centre.
Croydonians were asked to take pictures of or paint inspiring images of Croydon's heathland - which makes up 10 per cent of the London heathland that remains today - as part of London's Heathland Heritage project to highlight the importance of the declining habitat.
Some of the artists whose work is on display got their inspiration after taking part in a series of guided walks around the borough's heathland habitats, including Addington Hills and Croham Hurst.
Two of the images from those submitted have also been turned into post cards which are handed out free at the exhibition and in Croydon's libraries.
The pictures will be on display in the Croydon Heathland Art Exhibition at the Clocktower in Katharine Street until October 25.
