In response to Steve Caldwell's letter of September 27 Developing New Addington' I wish to an extent that one part of it could be forgotten, that being the proposed site at the top end of the Parade for a learning centre which I understand will be open until 10pm.
This building will be totally out of keeping with the area and none of the residents want this. Not only would it cause a blind spot for motorists approaching the roundabout, there will also be a loss of car parking space and views will be blocked. Perhaps the Cunningham site could be used to relocate this learning centre?
I am not looking forward to all the changes proposed for Central Parade.
I have also learned that we might lose our Supaelectrics shop to yet another restaurant, which we really need up here.
What used to be a nice community is being spoilt and there is nothing we can do about it.
