Following Jo Brand’s controversial comments about the area on Have I Got News For You, we’re launching a comedy competition where one lucky reader can win a luxury night out in Streatham with a friend...
Enjoy a scrummy dinner worth £40 at the Manor Arms, which is set to launch a new crab shack menu, and then entry to the Hideaway – the town’s premier jazz venue.
The prize is valid any Thursday in May.
Two runners-up will each win a pair of tickets for entry to the Hideaway on a Thursday evening in May.
All you need to do is answer the following question:
Comedian Jo Brand is known for her love of sweet treats.
If Streatham was an item of confectionary, what would it be and why?
Please, keep your responses clean and funny.
For example: Streatham is like a lemon cheescake, sharp at first but a must for those with an acquired taste.
Tweet your answer to @streathamnews, email newsdesk@streathamguardian.co.uk, or write to us at Streatham Guardian, Newsquest South & West London, Floor 10, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS.
Deadline for all entries is 11pm, Monday, May 7, and the winner – to be picked by the editor – will be announced online and in the paper on Thursday, May 10.
Usual Newsquest terms and conditions apply.
