Why is it that the council, developers and everybody else trying to push this proposed development of the power station site in Skerne Road, seem to have completely ignored the large amount of extra traffic pollution which will undoubtedly result from the extra hundreds of vehicles to be located in the centre of Kingston.
Many of the vehicles make the pollution even worse than necessary by being made to go nearly a mile around the centre of the town in the one-way system, just to get back to the same place they started from - the Rotunda.
Until there is a proper transport plan which will actually reduce pollution, it is senseless to go on building huge numbers of houses, flats and other accommodation in the centre of Kingston.
