I found your article entitled "Health clubs make people run from gym" difficult to understand.
It claims too many health clubs in Merton are causing individuals to run from the gyms.
I do not think it's the number of clubs, I think it is the lack of funds or the lack of time to attend clubs during the week.
Also, walking and cycling to and from work is not enough, there is no point undertaking that kind of minimal exercise and eating rubbish food: you need to balance everything.
If you cycle or walk to and from work, your body will plateau and the fitness will level out and not improve, it's about variety and exercise as well.
I remember reading an article from the institute of directors stating the main reason individuals do not attend gyms is because they are forced to sign up for at least 12 months and have expensive off-peak and peak times and that variety was missing from memberships.
