Kingston-born judo player Karina Bryant was named in the Team GB judo squad for the London 2012 Games this week and is hoping to make it fourth time lucky.
The 33-year-old, who lives in Camberley, has a host of world and European medals to her name, but is yet to add an Olympic gong to her collection in three attempts thus far.
Bryant, who won bronze at the European Championships earlier this year, will compete in the +78kg category in London having qualified for the event via the world rankings.
“I’m really proud to get to my fourth Olympic Games and to do so through the Olympic qualifying ranking list,” she said.
Bryant will be especially pleased to have made the cut having missed six months of last year with a serious neck injury.
