I refer to your article concerning a fun fair being cancelled over boy racers and cruise meetings, blighting the Colonnades Park in Purley Way.
This situation has been going on for a number of years now. Isn't it about time the authorities got their act together and put an end to these activities once and for all? Where are the police, the councillors, the environmental health officers?
The boy racers' cars should be looked at to see if they ought to be taken off the road and impounded. The drivers should be arrested and charged with dangerous driving or exceeding speed limits.
Environmental health officers should seize car stereos causing nuisance and ask the courts for confiscation orders.
It is about time borough commander Mark Gore and Croydon Council got their acts together and started providing some service for all the public money they receive.
