On reading this weeks' Guardian letter pages (October 11) one would think that the outlook for the Warehouse Theatre is the only matter that should concern our new council'.
If the Warehouse is so important to the citizens of Croydon, why don't they show their concern and raise the money they say the need themselves?
I am sure that an extra pound or two on a ticket would bring them in the money they say they need?
If it is a treasure, as Warehouse artistic director Ted Craig states, then so be it. Let him open the treasure chest he as a director holds the key to and allow the hard-pressed ratepayers and their representatives to address the real problem of stemming the floodgates of the incompetence that was left by our last administration led by Tony Newman.
