An Olympic torchbearer is fed up with the organisers less than three weeks before he takes part.
Torchbearers were nominated through programmes run by Locog and sponsors Coca-Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung in 2011.
They aimed to recognise and reward people with a story of personal achievement and or contribution to the local community.
Ex-investment banker John Dawson, 45, from Cheam, was left brain damaged and partially blinded after a road accident and he is a volunteer and trustee of Sutton Association for the Blind.
He said: "It is three weeks until it’s supposed to happen and they are unable to tell me where it’s happening.
"Since people found out I was going to be carrying the torch they’ve been asking me when and where I will be doing it.
"I was told I would find out three to four weeks before."
However, Mr Dawson said he has faced had no luck getting to the bottom of it despite numerous phone calls and emails.
He said: "I would have thought it would have already been decided – it’s just ‘computer says no’.
"The route has been published – I’m only going to be doing 300 metres and 23 people will be carrying it through the borough.
"I’m getting very fed up with it – it’s taking the shine off the whole thing.
"My children break up [from school] on Friday and their friends want to know where I will be running."
Mr Dawson is taking part in the torch relay to raise awareness for the Sutton Association for the Blind.
Mr Dawson who is partially sighted said it is important that partially sighted people plan ahead where they are going.
After the Sutton Guardian contacted Locog they said they would contact Mr Dawson immediately to go through the process.
