Resident associations in Addiscombe are uniting on Saturday to walk the ward.
The group 'Addiscombe in Action' is made up of five different community groups and will spend the day walking the ward, with the aim of getting residents talking and working together in the community.
The day begins at 9.30am with a breakfast at Cherries Café, in Cherry Orchard Road, before litter picking towards Morland Avenue.
A picnic lunch will be held at the at the Sir Philip Game Centre at 1.30pm, before the group moves on to Addiscombe Railway Park at 3pm, where a representative of the Friends of the Park will be delivering a talk about the group's work in the community.
From 4.30pm the group will join the Chase Summer Fayre, where the day ends.
The event is open to businesses and families of all ages, and residents can attend all or some of the day.
