The hosepipe ban is officially over in Elmbridge, after the remaining water companies lifted restrictions put in place on April 5.
After a period of abnormally heavy rain, Veolia Water was able to lift the ban along with Sutton and East Surrey Water.
Thames Water, which serves Esher and the Molesey area, lifted its ban on June 14, but the other two were criticised for keeping their ban in place.
Sutton and East Surrey Water’s operations director said: “We are delighted to be able to lift the restrictions and return to a normal service for customers. We would also like to thank them for their support while they have been in place.
“The increase in our underground resources brought about by the abnormally heavy spring rainfall is most welcome. Normally winter rainfall recharges the aquifers.
“The recharge is unprecedented and is the highest increase in water levels ever recorded in our area at this time of year.
“However, we would ask customers to please continue to use water wisely.”
Veolia Water Central serves the Walton and Weybridge area and Sutton and East Surrey Water serves Cobham, Oxshott and Stoke D’Abernon.
