A 41-year-old man who made his neighbours’ lives misery has received a five year Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo).

Antonio Deeb's behaviour includes throwing an axe or hammer through a neighbour’s window, damaging neighbours’ property including their cars and kicking and banging their doors.

Mr Deeb received the Asbo for noisy, violent and drunken behaviour at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court on Friday, July 6.

Mr Deeb has a history of anti-social behaviour at his home address at Harding House, Marchmont Road, Wallington, since 2011.

The court found that Mr Deeb’s behaviour had caused harassment, alarm or distress to residents.

He has to comply with strict restrictions in Harding House, such as not meeting two named associates in the stairwells, playing loud music or banging on doors and windows.

He has also been prohibited from being drunk in public or having an open container of alcohol in public anywhere in the borough.

PC Sara Turnbull, of the Sutton Council funded Anti-Social Behaviour Unit, based at Sutton Police Station thanked all those residents who came forward and provided statements to the police - statements which provided vital evidence to the court confidentially.

She said: “We urge anyone who is suffering anti-social behaviour to contact police. We do take all such reports seriously and we will take appropriate action.

"You don’t have to suffer in silence.” If you have any information, contact Sutton Police station on 101.

If anyone sees Mr Deeb breaching his Asbo, please contact police on 999.

Breaching an Asbo can result in being jailed, fined, or both and for tenants it could also lead to eviction.
