Police have continued their crackdown on drugs across Sutton today.
A quantity of drugs paraphernalia was seized during the raids.
They forced entry to a ground-floor flat in Sandown Drive, Carshalton, this morning; however, the property was empty and no drugs were found.
Officers also forced entry to a house at Douglas Close, Wallington, and two males were questioned inside the property but there were no arrests.
Beddington South and Sutton North Safer Neighbourhoods Teams took part in the operation and were supported by officers from the Sutton Council funded Safer Parks Team.
An MPS police dog handling unit and Sutton Council’s benefits investigation team took part too. Police enquiries following both raids are continuing.
The operation follows the arrest of two people on the Roundshaw estate, yesterday, on suspicion of drug dealing.
A quantity of suspected cannabis was recovered and a man aged 18 and a woman aged 23 were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They have both been bailed to return to Sutton Police Station. Another man received a cannabis warning.
These operations were carried out as part of the Met-wide Operation Hawk which involves local officers responding directly to information from local communities to target drug dealers and other criminals.
