Families braved the weather at the weekend to show their support for a leading children’s charity at its fun day.
Nearly one thousand visitors attended the event, held by The Children’s Trust, based in Tadworth Court, raising £12,500 for the charity - which provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation for children with disabilities, complex health needs and an acquired brain injury.
A range of attractions were on offer, including live music by The Merry Makers, dancing by the Claygate Allstars cheerleading squad, fairground rides and a super draw with a £3,000 cash prize.
11-year-old Elena Bayk-Mohammadi, from Kingswood, also made her public debut as a singer at the event.
A volunteer at the trust, she aims to raise £1,000 for the charity - and has so far received £966 in sponsorship.
