A student film raising awareness about the dangers of alcohol will be promoted across the borough.
Pupils from Rydens Enterprise School (RES) won the ECP alcohol awareness storyboard competition and have now successfully produced their film.
During alcohol awareness week in 2011, year 9 students from RES, Esher Church of England High School and Hinchley Wood School entered the competition.
A group of five pupils from RES won and spent a day in April filming their winning work.
The film is now completed and the council plans to show it at a variety of locations around the borough, including GP surgeries and NHS walk-in centres.
Councillor Chris Cross said: “All the students who have taken part in this project have worked so hard to produce an excellent piece of work.
“Their ideas have been original and creative and this can be seen in their fantastic film, which we hope will help get the message across about increasing risk drinking.”
In Elmbridge 25 per cent of adults drink at an increasing risk, which means women regularly drinking more than two to three units a day and men more than three to four units a day.
