Armed robbers have held up a pawnbrokers in Sutton.
Police were called at about 4pm this afternoon to reports of an armed robbery at the Old English Pawnbroking Company business in Rosehill.
A police spokesman said: "At this early stage it appears two men have entered the premises and robbed it.
"One of the victims has reported seeing one of the men with a gun."
No shots were fired in the incident and no one was injured.
It was later confirmed the robbers left empty handed.
The business specialises in gold, jewellery and watches.
Police are at the scene carrying out their enquiries and an area has been cordoned off.
London Ambulance Service has also been called to the scene as a precaution and is standing by.
