A pre-Olympics musical celebration is turning Battersea Park into an Asian inspired paradise this weekend.
The BT River of Music Festival sees music from 204 nations performing in the capital, with Wandsworth welcoming the Asia music stage.
Stars and emerging talent from Asian continents will be taking to the stage during the free family friendly event.
Comedian and chef Hardeep Singh Kohli and TV presenter Nikki Bedi host the stage, including music from DJ Ritu.
Expect to see performances from Homayun Sakhi and Kronos Quartet, a rare collaboration of contemporary music from Afghanistan.
On Saturday Pakistan musician Asif Ali Khan is playing in the UK for the first time, while Chinese sensation Gong Linna will be headlining.
The Sunday line-up includes Youth Music Voices, Van-Anh Vo and Kronos Quartet as well as Khyam Allami.
UK dance outfit Transglobal underground will be showcasing their fusion of Asian and Western musical influences.
The band make appropriate headliners for the Asia stage, as their music was used for an Olympics advertising campaign in 2006.
Battersea Park makes for the perfect host for the festival, boasting its own resident monk in the Peace Pagoda.
Across the weekend other nations will be represented elsewhere in London, including an Africa Stage in the Southbank and an Oceania Stage in Greenwich.
