A woman was attacked at a bus stop after refusing to have sex with a complete stranger.
Police are appealing for help finding a man described as black, in his 20’s and 5ft 4in, after a brutal attack was launched on a woman on Davidson Road, Woodside.
The victim, a 43-year-old woman, was waiting for the 410 bus at 6.30am on June 24 when she was approached by the man, who was wearing dark clothing.
He allegedly asked her for sex and when she refused punched her in the head and tried to grab her legs.
She cried for help her husband came from their home down the street and the attacker ran off towards Norwood Junction.
A search of the area by police failed to find him.
DC Aaron Hobbs, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who might have seen this man on the morning of the incident around the South Norwood and Woodside area.
"If you think you saw him or have any information that might help us progress our enquiries, then I’d urge you to get in touch.”
