A man accused of killing biking enthusiast Chris Isted outside a pub has been remanded in custody ahead of his trial.
Carlton McKay, 27, of St Paul’s Road, Thornton Heath, is charged with murdering the 25-year-old outside the Ship Pub, in Croydon High Street, on March 31.
He has also been charged with attempted murder after being accused of stabbing Kevin Millward, also 25, on the same night.
He was taken to hospital and later discharged.
Mr Isted, who was employed by London South TPS business as a van driver, was a keen BMX cyclist and was due to become a father Mr McKay, who appeared at The Old Bailey this morning, is set to face a plea and case management hearing in two weeks and a trial date has been set for October 1.
