Charitable employees gave up their weekend to run up hills, canoe across lakes and bike across Dartmoor.
A team from Weybridge-based company Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) undertook the BG Energy Challenge on the weekend of July 5.
The six members of Team PGS helped raise more than £200,000 for Care International and children’s charity Sparks.
This takes the total for the UK event to £6.5m since its inaugural event in 1996.
Team captain Andrew Oates said: “It’s been an amazing experience, one which we have enjoyed sharing with some great people - we’ve made great connections and forged new working relationships all while having fun and testing ourselves in this beautiful location.
“We are so proud to have helped raised a staggering amount for two fantastic causes and the chance to make a difference to these charities has been a huge incentive to us in the build up to the event.”
