Police patrols have increased around Hillside Gardens after parents labelled it a crime hotspot.
Parents, who questioned Streatham Hill's Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) at the Sure Start Children's Centre, Palace Road, on July 9, said their main issue was fear of robbery with a specific focus on Hillside Gardens.
The SNT contacted the council about the problems and have increased their patrols of uniformed and plain clothes officers, police said.
Streatham Hill SNT PCSO Lewis Lerwill said: "Engagement events such as this are so important to reach our ward members and give them the chance to say what is on their mind.
"I got unique perspective speaking to the mums and dads and with their support our SNT will take their concerns forward with the view to resolving the issues, to make our borough an enjoyable place to be."
