St Peter’s Hospital's League of Friends held a special event to mark a significant anniversary.
The league celebrated its first 60 years with a service in the Chertsey hospital's multi-faith centre, organised by the pastoral care team.
Music was led by the St Peter’s Hospital Choir and organist Dave Fisher.
After, volunteers, staff and visitors stayed for light refreshments in the centre garden to congratulate the friends on their own diamond jubilee.
The league of friends at Ashford, which is part of the same trust as St Peter’s, celebrated its 50th anniversary back in May.
Trust chairman Aileen McLeish said: “On behalf of the trust I would like to congratulate both hospitals’ leagues of friends on these special occasions.
“I would also like to extend my warmest thanks to all the many friends volunteers who have raised so much money for our hospitals.
“I would especially like to thank Jim McCall, outgoing chairman of the St Peter’s League of Friends, for everything he has done for the trust in the past five-and-a-half years.”
