The Crystals have missed out on being the official Team GB cheerleading squad for the Olympic games, despite getting the most votes.
The cheerleaders received more than 4,000 votes on the public vote but lost out to the North London Wildcats after judge Alesha Dixon chose them as the winners.
The Wildcats were more than 700 votes behind the Crystals.
Miss Dixon, who heralds from Welwyn Garden City, north of London, said: “The standard of entries from the cheerleading squads across the country was amazing - I was so impressed.
“ I picked the North London Wildcats because they were exciting, energetic and incredibly talented and I think the crowds at the Olympics will love watching them perform.
“I absolutely can’t wait to see them get the crowds behind Team GB during the Games and help us create the best support an Olympic team has ever had.”
Supporters of the Crystals have expressed their anger on twitter, with many saying they should have won because they received the most votes.
A tweet from the Crystals said: “Thanks everyone who voted for us to be Team GB cheeleaders. Despite winning both votes, we did not win. Congrats to North London Wildcats!”
The first assignment for the Wildcats will be to support the Team GB football team in its friendly against Brazil in Middlesbrough this Friday.
