A lost three-legged cat has been returned to its owners after vets made an appeal for help in the Wimbledon Guardian.
Sasha, a two-year-old black and white tom cat, was found injured in Cannon Hill Lane on June 26.
A passerby brought him to Park Veterinary Practice in Raynes Park and, following last week’s article, a friend of Sasha’s owners showed them the story and they collected the pet.
Sasha had broken three toes, fractured his hip and suffered permanent nerve damage to his hind leg that unfortunately could not be saved and was amputated.
Clair Newton, practice manager, said: “Sasha has now been re-united with his family – and quickly microchipped in case he goes wandering again, though in future he will be much easier to recognise.”
